British researchers said flying fish robot can use water
from environment(lake, pond, river, ocean and so on) to launch
itself into the air.
the flying fish robot capable of traveling up to 85 feet through
the air and researchers believed that it can be useful for
collecting samples in hazardous environment condition such
as during floods and nuclear attack.
the best thing about flying fish robot is that it requires
only 0.2 grams of calcium carbide powder in a combustion chamber
and a small pump that delivers water from the environment where
robot is to be launched.
In combustion chamber water combine with calcium-carbide powder
and produces burnable acetylene gas which then pushes the water
up as a jet and then robot clear out of water into the air.
The flying fish robot is too lightweight for flight and even it
can be used in very worse condition such as flood and and
nuclear accidents.
